Ear Infections

You can’t tell by looking at it. In case you don’t know, antibiotics DON’T work, at all, on viral infections.
• Some children respond well to antibiotics; others are put on a round robin of antibiotic treatments (sometimes for years); and others still require surgery. A study reported in The Journal of the American Medical Association found that children given antibiotics for ear infections were two to six times more likely to develop a recurrence than children who did not receive the antibiotic treatment. According to other medical studies, antibiotics are often not much more effective than the body’s own immune system.

Published research shows that, after receiving a series of chiropractic adjustments, nearly 80 percent of the children treated were free of ear infections for at least the six-month period following their initial visits. By removing the subluxations in the upper cervical region of the spine (this is located at the base of the skull; the first and second vertebra in the neck). Chiropractic adjustments mobilize the drainage of the ear in children, and if they can continue to drain without a buildup of fluid and subsequent infection they build up their own antibodies and recover more quickly.
